Protesters shut down the Chicago School Board meeting over the closure, the cycle

More than 50 protesters took command of the Chicago Public Schools ' Board meeting Wednesday, shouting to the members of the Council on the dramatic events force against proposed school closed, record keeping and the completion of the project.

In a chaotic scenes which echoed recently occupied a protest in Chicago and elsewhere, the School Board President David Vitale abruptly suspended the rally after protesters disrupted the presentation by CPS head Jean-Claude Brizard by reading from a prepared statement, the Council, denounced the policy Charter school expansion and a systemic failure of the city's public school system.

"We see through bites. You have betrayed public confidence, "one protester shouted. "You have failed the Chicago boys. You pray at the altar of greed. "

During the lull, Vitale told the crowd that he hoped the protesters "get it out of their system," encourage more protests from the crowd.
